American Family Life Assurance Company, also known as AFLAC, is headquartered in Georgia, selling life insurance as well as several supplemental health policies. The Georgia Office Responsible for Life InsuranceThe Georgia Department of Insurance Life and Health Division assists consumers by analyzing insurance policies and ensuring their compliance with the state's insurance regulations. The aim of the department is to protect consumers from fraudulent and deceptive policies. Georgia also runs the Insure U University that educates consumers about all aspects of insurance. The program provides study materials that can help consumers to understand the types of policies available and to keep them from falling for life insurance scams.
